Mid-South Men's Tennis Tournament

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The top-seeded Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team will play for the Mid-South Conference Tournament title on Saturday following today's 5-0 win over fourth-seeded Campbellsville (Ky.) at the Boone Tennis Center.

The Blue Raiders (15-3) face No. 2-seed Cumberland (Tenn.) at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday. The Bulldogs defeated third-seeded Pikeville (Ky.) 5-1 today in the other semifinals.

Lindsey Wilson captured all three doubles matches to seize early control of the match.

Fabricio Morales and Marlon Dal Pont defeated Alejandro Soriano and Pontus Blom 8-2 to take the 1-0 lead. Gilles Cornelis and Pablo Vilches matched their teammates' 8-2 win by beating Alberto Diaz and Tyler Hyatt by the same score for the 2-0 lead.

The Blue Raiders completed the doubles sweep when the top-seeded team of Fernando Bogajo and Francisco Charters beat Michael Rjazanov and Sebastian Marot 8-6.

Bogajo and Charters were at it again in singles play. The pair won their matches in straight sets to close out the match.

Bogajo handed Rjazanov a 6-1, 6-2 defeat for the 4-0 Lindsey Wilson lead and Charters closed out the match with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Blom.

Lindsey Wilson and Cumberland meet for the second time this season. The Blue Raiders defeated Cumberland 5-4 in Lebanon in an epic match on April 6.

Saturday's first serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT at the Boone Tennis Center.
