Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson men's tennis won easily on Monday, sweeping every point against Asbury (Ky.) for its second straight 9-0 win at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
The only match of the day that needed an extra set was No. 1 singles where Fernando Bogajo outlasted Nathan Sehley 4-6, 6-3, (10-5), while utlizing a super set to decide it.
Other than that, it was smooth sailing for the Blue Raiders, starting with three doubles wins.
Bogajo and Francisco Charters won 8-6 at No. 1 against Sehley and Sean Layton, Fabricio Morales and Marlon Dal Pont cruised 8-2 at No. 2 against Daniel Harns and Nesbert Vaval and third-seeded Pablo Vilches and Gilles Cornelis beat Justin Westlund and Stephen Woods 8-1.
Morales and Layton played a fairly close match at No. 2 singles, with Morales winning 7-5, 6-3 as the rest of matches saw Asbury fail to win more than two games in a set.
No. 3 Dal Pont topped Vaval 6-0, 6-1, No. 4 seeded Charters beat Woods 6-0, 6-0, No. 5 Cornelis topped Harris 6-2, 6-2 and Sam Rogerson played at No. 6 for a 6-1, 6-2 win against Westlund.
Lindsey Wilson hosts Western Kentucky at 2 p.m. CT on Tuesday for their fifth straight day of matches.
