Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – Make it three straight matches that the fourth-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team has not lost a point as it shutout visiting Western Kentucky 7-0 on Tuesday at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
Using NCAA scoring, the Blue Raiders wrapped up the doubles point after the Hilltoppers retired at the No. 2 seed and lost 8-5 at No. 1 and 8-2 at No. 3.
Up 1-0, Lindsey Wilson went ahead and made it a sweep, winning five out of six singles matches in straight sets.
Those wins included Fernando Bogajo at No. 1 beating Josh Smith 6-0, 6-2, No. 2 Fabricio Morales winning 6-4, 6-4 against J.T. Closi, No. 3 Marlon Dal Pont with a 6-2, 7-6 (5) win against Andrew Fish, fourth-seeded Francisco Charters over Alex Taranda 6-3, 6-3 and No. 6 Gilles Cornelis outlasting Alex Stewart 6-1, 7-6 (5).
Only Pablo Vilches at the No. 5 seed needed an extra set as he beat Lance Freeman 2-6, 6-1, 6-2.
