WILMORE, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson men's swimming had its two-match winning streak snapped on Friday as the Blue Raiders fell to host Asbury (Ky.) 114-81.
The Blue Raiders finished with a pair of wins on the night -- one in the 200-yard medley relay and the other from Jose Prado de Lima in the mile freestyle.
Prado de Lima's time of 17 minutes and 24.88 seconds bettered his competition by more than 40 seconds and earned the freshman his first A cut towards the NAIA Championships.
The quartet of Iker Larzabal, Jonas Muller, Travis Durocher and Zachary Patzer also posted a time good enough for a national championship A cut in the 200 medley relay. The Blue Raider squad posted a 1:42.83 -- just ahead of Asbury's 1:43.06.
The 400 freestyle also posted an A standard time giving the Blue Raiders three on the night.
Prado de Lima, Durocher, Gage Setzer and Sam Tate posted a time of 3:28.60 -- a second under the standard -- to finish second in the event.
The Blue Raiders drop to 3-4 this season in duals with tonight's loss.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 8 as the Blue Raiders travel to Barbourville, Ky. to face host Union (Ky.) and Campbellsville (Ky.) in a double dual.
