WALESKA, Ga. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team finished in first place with a team score of 670 at the Reinhardt Spring Invitational at the Callahan Golf Links.
Lindsey Wilson (340-330) started the day in first and secured their season opening victory with a final round score of 330. Reinhardt (Ga.) University finished in second place with a score of 681 (347-334) with Truett-McConnell (Ga.) College taking third place with a 750 (380-370).
Katie Bowling – golfing as an individual – took first place in the individual tournament with a 6-over par 78 in her final round, second best round of the day. Bowling was tied for the lead after the first round when she finished with a 10-over par 82.
Kaitlin Allan (82-82) led the Blue Raiders team as she finished second in the tournament with a score of 20-over par 164. Candace Stacy (86-79) took third place after shooting a 7-over par 79 in round two.
Amy Brown took seventh place with two rounds of 13-over par 85. Courtney Swindle (87-84) finished the tournament tied for eighth with a 27-over par 171. Kayla Cordeiro (95-96) finished tied for 12th place with a 47-over par 191.
Lindsey Wilson is back on the golf course Monday, March 17 at the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) Invitational for a two-day tournament.
