COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson men's tennis team swept University of Pikeville (Ky.) 9-0 at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex on Sunday afternoon.

Lindsey Wilson (7-1, 3-0 MSC) won all three doubles matches as No. 1 tandem Ignacio Huertas and Raul Mendez defeated Sven Rodenbusch and Dmitry Bakenkov 8-5. The Blue Raiders No. 2 doubles team of Fabricio Morales and Francisco Charters defeated Pawel Tarasewicz and Marcos Fondelius 8-6. No. 3 Pablo Vilches and Edberg Espinoza defeated Connor Smith and Francois Billet 8-2.

In singles, No. 1 Mendez defeated Bakenov 6-2, 6-4 while No. 3 Morales defeated Tarasewicz 6-2, 6-1 for the first two singles points. No. 2 Espinoza beat Rodenbusch 6-1, 7-5 for the third singles point and No. 5 Huertas defeated Fondelius 6-1, 6-3.

No. 6 Vilches defeated Felix Singer 6-3, 6-0 and No. 4 Charters beat Billet 6-3, 6-3 to secure the 9-0 sweep and remain undefeated in Mid-South Conference play.

The Blue Raiders return to the court on Monday, March 31 as they travel to Asbury (Ky.) University.
