LEBANON, Tenn. -- No. 7-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis swept Bluefield (Va.) 5-0 today in a Mid-South Conference match at Tommy Gray Memorial Tennis Courts.

The Blue Raiders (12-2, 5-1 in the Mid-South Conference) opened the match by dropping just four games in the three doubles wins over the Rams (5-12, 0-5).

Edberg Espinoza and Pablo Vilches secured the first point of the match with an 8-1 win over Carlton Tugman and James Gunn in the second-seeded doubles match. The Lindsey Wilson pair improved to 12-2 on the season in doubles play, including a perfect 6-0 in conference play.

Ignacio Huertas and Raul Mendez quickly followed with an 8-1 win over Borja Jimenez and Chas Stonestreet in the No. 3-seeded match.

Fabricio Morales and Francisco Charters completed the doubles sweep with an 8-2 win over Markel Aramberri and Lochlan Kitchen.

Vilches and Huertas closed out the team match with singles wins at the fifth and sixth seeded matches.

Vilches defeated Stonestreet and Huertas beat Gunn by identical scores of 6-0, 6-0.

The remainder of the matches did not play.

Lindsey Wilson returns to play at 2 p.m. CT on Monday, April 21, as the Blue Raiders travel to St. Catharine (Ky.) for the regular season finale.
