Allan shoots 77 today, narrowly misses cut at NAIA Women's Golf National Championships

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Kaitlin Allan produced a second straight solid round on Thursday at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships at the Wilderness Ridge Golf Club.

Allan fired a 5-over par 77 today to continue her ascent up the leaderboard in search of reaching one of the top 40 positions in order to play in Friday's final round. But Allan's opening-round 86 on Tuesday proved too much to come back from as she finished the third round in a tie for 44th to miss the 54-hole cut by two strokes.

Allan managed to avoid the big number during Thursday's round en route to posting a three-round total 239 (86-76-77). She scattered three bogeys on her front nine to make the turn at 3-over 39 and posted three more bogeys on the back heading to the 16th tee.

Allan closed her final three collegiate holes with a pair of pars and a birdie -- which came on the par-5, 463-yard 18th hole -- to shoot 77.

SCAD Savannah (Ga.) (304-304-306) and Oklahoma City (302-309-303) are tied with 914s atop the team leaderboard. Oklahoma City's Elia Folch (72-75-73) and SCAD Savannah's Alazne Urizar (76-71-73) are tied for the individual lead with 220s.
