MCDERMOTT, Ohio – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team concluded the final day of the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament with a team total 325 to finish in fourth place in the team standings on Friday at the Elks County Club.
The Blue Raiders finished with a 653 (328-325), just three strokes behind third-place Cumberland (Tenn.) at 650 (328-322) and 10 strokes behind runner-up Campbellsville (Ky.) at 643 (320-323).
Courtney Vincent provided the top Lindsey Wilson finish as she placed tied for fourth with a two-day total, 10-over 158 (78-80). Cristina Jimenez leapt up the leaderboard moving up 13 spots from 21st place to eighth place in the final standings after her 3-over par 77 on the final day at the par-74, 5,950-yard course. She finished three strokes behind Vincent with a 13-over 161 (84-77).
Shayna Cockrill matched her 83 on day one with an 83 on day two to finish tied for 16th place with a 166. Brianne Coe slipped four spots in the final standings to 21st with a 168 (83-85) and Kenna Richardson finished in a tie for 30th place with a 174 (87-87) to complete the Blue Raider squad.
Kayla Cordeiro finished in 15th place as an individual with a 165 (82-83).
Cumberlands (Ky.) took home the team title with a two-day 629 (309-320). Campbellsville's Cassidy Scantland shot a 3-under par 71 on the final day to take home top medalist honors and was the lone player under par at the tournament.
The Blue Raiders are back in action Oct. 8 when they head up the road to Campbellsville, Ky., for the Don Bishop Invitational.
