BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team carded a team-total 335 on the opening day of the Bowling Green Preview Tournament to sit in third place on Monday at the Bowling Green Country Club.

Cristina Jimenez led the Blue Raiders at the par-72, 5,827-yard course as she posted a 6-over par 78 to sit alone in fifth place in the individual standings. Jimenez is just three strokes behind a pair of Cumberlands (Ky.) players tied atop the leaderboard at 3-over par.

Brianne Coe also currently sits in the top 10 in the field of 52 after she fired an opening-round 9-over 81 to sit tied for 10th place.

The remaining trio of Blue Raiders on the five-person team all sit tied for 29th place. Courtney Vincent, Kayla Cordeiro and Megan Kriz all posted 16-over par 88s on the day.

Shayna Cockrill, who is competing as an individual at the tournament, sits alone in 24th place after her 14-over 86.

As a team, Lindsey Wilson sits one stroke ahead of Cumberland (Tenn.) in fourth place and three strokes ahead of Pikeville (Ky.) in fifth. The Blue Raiders trail Cumberlands, who sits at the top of the 10-team leaderboard, by 30 strokes. Campbellsville is in second place, 17 strokes better than Lindsey Wilson.

The Blue Raiders are back on the links for the second and final round on Tuesday morning.
