Box Score OWENSBORO, Ky. -- Three Blue Raiders scored in double figures to lift Lindsey Wilson women's basketball to a 76-62 win tonight over host Brescia at the Brescia Campus Center.
The Blue Raiders (10-2) run their winning streak to four straight while picking up their first road win of the season. Lindsey Wilson completes the season sweep of the Bearcats (6-6) after winning 104-65 earlier this season in Columbia.
Chanel Roberts, Kayla Richardson and Courtney Sandlin each posted double-digit points while helping Lindsey Wilson enjoy another efficient offensive night. The Blue Raiders ended the game making 51.6 percent (32-of-62) of its shots -- the fifth time this season Lindsey Wilson has connected on at least half of its shots.
The Blue Raiders scored the game's first seven points and never trailed in the game. Richardson scored five of her 14 points in the opening quarter to help Lindsey Wilson to a 16-9 first-quarter lead.
Lindsey Wilson extended its lead to double digits in the second quarter and ultimately led 34-22 at the break.
Brescia -- who entered the game on a five-game winning streak -- opened the third quarter with an 8-2 run to close within six points (36-30). Lindsey Wilson responded with an 11-4 run to push the lead to 47-34 and the Bearcats never seriously threatened the rest of the game.
Roberts led the charge for Lindsey Wilson during the middle quarters. She posted 12 of her game-high 16 points during the second and third quarters.
Ten different Blue Raiders scored in the game, including 25 points off the bench. Sandlin scored 12 of the 25 points off the Lindsey Wilson bench.
Brescia's Aaliyah Rodgers led the Bearcats with 14 points while Julie Whitfill chipped in 12 points in the loss.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Dec. 19 as the Blue Raiders travel to Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, Ga.
