Box Score BARBOURSVILLE, Ky. -- Fifth-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis posted its second straight 9-0 win with today's sweep of host Union (Ky.) at the Union College Tennis Courts.
The Blue Raiders (2-1) did not drop a set in the win, including posting six wins without losing a game.
Lindsey Wilson used 8-0 wins at the second and third-seeded doubles matches to sprint out to a 2-0 lead.
In the most competitive match of the day, Lindsey Wilson's Edberg Espinoza and Francisco Charters outlasted Borna Bartolovic and Egil Brudvik 8-6 in the top-seeded doubles match to take a 3-0 lead into the singles matches.
Charters and Raul Mendez quickly secured the fourth and fifth points necessary for the team win with 6-0, 6-0 wins at four and three singles respectively.
Ignacio Huertas and Pablo Vilches also claimed 6-0, 6-0 wins during the match.
Union (0-1) concluded the match winning just six games against the Blue Raiders in singles action.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 14 as the Blue Raiders travel to NCAA Division I Eastern Kentucky in Richmond.
