LEBANON, Tenn. -- No 5-ranked Lindsey Wilson ran its winning streak to eight straight today with a 9-0 win over Cumberland (Tenn.).

The Blue Raiders (10-2, 2-0 in the Mid-South Conference) swept the three doubles points to seize control from the very beginning of the match.

The pair of Ignacio Huertas and Pablo Vilches was awarded a forfeit win due to Cumberland not having a No. 3 doubles team. The duos of Francisco Charters and Edberg Espinoza and Denis Porcic and Raul Mendez each won 8-1 at the top two doubles matches for the 3-0 lead.

Charters made it 4-0 following his forfeit win at the sixth-seeded singles match.

Vilches claimed the Lindsey Wilson win with the fifth team point following a 6-0, 6-0 win over Madison Mummert in the fifth-seeded match.

The remainder of the Blue Raiders captured their singles matches in straight sets to claim the sweep.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2 p.m. CT on Monday, March 30 as the Blue Raiders host Georgetown (Ky.) at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
