WILMORE, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team won its second dual meet of the year, 139-122, against Asbury (Ky.) on Saturday at the Asbury Natatorium.
The Blue Raiders picked up victories in eight events on the day. The women's 400-yard medley 'A' team began the day with a victory. Jessica Macdonald, Ronni Borders, Courtney Fleeger and Ines Khiyara posted a national "A" cut time of four minutes and 12.84 seconds.
Emily Wood took first place in the 1,000-yard freestyle for Lindsey Wilson's first individual win of the event. Wood swam the event in 11:22.52 seconds.
Macdonald won three individual events on Saturday and met the national "A" standard time in each event. The freshman won the 200-yard freestyle, posting a time of 1:59.19. Macdonald also won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.38 and the 200-yard individual medley at 2:13.93.
Lindsey Wilson finished back-to-back in the 100-yard backstroke. Sarah Hahn edged out teammate Bailey Seitz for first place, finishing in 1:05.91. Seitz completed the race in 1:08.09 seconds.
Ronni Borders claimed first place in the 100-yard breaststroke -- finishing in 1:11.48.
The Blue Raiders' Sarah Hahn took first place in the 200-yard backstroke. Hahn finished 10 second ahead of teammate Fleeger, winning the event with a time of 2:20.24.
Lindsey Wilson was runner-up in eight events on Saturday. Khiyara racked up a pair up runner-up finishes in the 200-yard butterfly and the 200-yard individual medley. The freshman also met the national "A" standard time in the 200-yard individual medley at 2:15.67.
The Blue Raiders return to action on Nov. 5, when they travel to Campbellsville, Kentucky for a tri meet with Campbellsville (Ky.) and Union (Ky.).
