WILMORE, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team lost a dual meet to Asbury (Ky.) 160-102 Saturday.
Jonas Mueller and Clemens Paetzold were the lone Blue Raiders to win events on the day, each capturing individual victories.
Mueller picked up the first victory of the day in the 100-yard breaststroke. He finished with a time of one minute and 2.76 seconds, beating the second-place finisher by 2.06 seconds. Mueller's second victory of the day came in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:14.60 nearly six seconds faster than thesecond-place swimmer. Mueller's time was also good enough for a national "B" standard.
Paetzold picked up a victory in the 200-yard individual medley. His "B" cut time of 201.99 was 0.54 seconds faster than the runner up. Paetzold picked up a second-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a "B" standard time of 55.79.
The 400-yard medley relay "A" team of Paetzold, Mueller, Jose Prado de Lima and Iker Larzabal finished with an "A" cut time of 3:36.95 and just missing out on first place by 0.12 seconds.
The 200-yard freestyle relay "A" team of Travis Durocher, Brennan Beckman, Mark Richard and Prado de Lima had an "A" standard time of 1:34.40 finished in second.
Michael Peck picked up a second-place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle, Durocher finished second in the 200-yard butterfly, Mueller picked up a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Nov. 5 for a tri-meet with Campbellsville (Ky.) and Union (Ky.) at Campbellsville.
