Balanced Scoring leads Women's Basketball to 66-55 win at Martin Methodist

PULASKI, Tenn. -- Five Blue Raiders scored double digits to lead No. 5-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's basketball to a 66–55 win over Martin Methodist (Tenn.) tonight at Robert E. Curry Christian Life Center.

Kayla Styles and Teanna Curry each contributed 15 points while Kayla Richardson, Chanel Roberts, and J'Nayah Hall all chipped in 10. Styles added 14 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.

The Blue Raiders (4-0) methodically built a double-digit lead over the final three quarters following a 12-10 first quarter lead.

Lindsey Wilson ended the second quarter with a 12-4 run to break a 22-22 tie en route to a 34-26 halftime lead. The RedHawks (3-1) closed within five points (39-34) two minutes into the third quarter only to have the Blue Raiders sprint away with a 14-6 run over the final eight minutes to take a 53-40 lead into the final quarter.

Lindsey Wilson increased its lead to as many as 20 points (62-42) midway through the final frame and settled for the 11-point win.

Lindsey Wilson finished the night shooting 45.8-percent (27-of-59) from the field, but just 1-of-13 from 3-point range. The Blue Raider defense limited the RedHawks to 31.3 percent (21-of-67) shooting from the field.

Kyoko Wade matched Styles' double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds to lead the RedHawks.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 4:30 p.m. CT, on Thursday, November 17, as the Blue Raiders travel to Middle Georgia State in Cochran, Ga.
