Lindsey Wilson tallied the first point of the day as Denis Porcic and Raul Mendez paired to beat Aaron Jumonville and Manuel Montenegro 8-6 in the top-seeded doubles match. The seventh-ranked doubles team in the NAIA improves to 5-2 on the season with the win.
Austin Peay won the next two points in the second and third seeded matches.
Almantas Ozelis and Aleh Drobysh broke midway through the match en route to an 8-5 win over Ignacio Huertas and Alonso Tellez. Chad Woodham and Alex Kartsonis produced an 8-4 win over Tomas Depiaggio and Javier Raya for the 2-1 overall team lead.
Lindsey Wilson quickly pulled even the team match thanks to Porcic's straight-sets win over Jumonville in the top-seeded singles match. Porcic won for the sixth consecutive time with the 6-4, 6-1 victory.
Austin Peay nosed back in front with a win at the sixth-seeded match. Woodham claimed a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Raya to give the Governors a 3-2 lead.
Alonso Tellez evened the overall match at 3-3 with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Montenegro in the third seeded match. With the win, Tellez extends his winning streak to a team-high nine straight matches.
Austin Peay reclaimed the lead in the back-and-forth match with a win at the fifth-seeded match. Kartsonis defeated Depiaggio 6-3, 6-4 to move the Governors within one point of the team win.
Ozelis claimed the decisive point with a 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 win over Mendez in the No. 2-seeded match.
Huertas won the final point of the day for the Blue Raiders with a come-from-behind 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Drobysh in the fourth-seeded match.
Lindsey Wilson's scheduled match with Georgetown (Ky.) on Thursday has been postponed due to forecasted rains. The Blue Raiders return to action at 1 p.m. CT on Friday, April 1 as they travel to Cumberlands (Ky.) in Williamsburg for a Mid-South Conference match.
