COLUMBIA, Ky. -- No. 12-ranked Lindsey Wilson football broke a 28-28 tie early in the fourth quarter with 21 straight points en route to a 49-35 win over No. 18-ranked Georgetown (Ky.) today at Blue Raider Stadium.

Lindsey Wilson quarterback Dylan Beasley led the Blue Raider offense -- that tallied 487 total yards of offense -- with his second consecutive 300-yard game while throwing a program-record six touchdown passes in the win. Beasley connected on 20 of his 25 passes for 368 yards. He also rushed for eight yards and a touchdown.

The Blue Raiders (3-0) led the Tigers 28-14 in the second quarter after Beasley hit Tyrone Stallard for a four-yard touchdown pass to cap a 12-play, 99-yard drive. Stallard finished with four catches for 91 yards and a pair of touchdown grabs. He also completed a 56-yard pass on a lateral and throw to Jalen Sublett out of the backfield. Sublett also caught four balls for a game-high 113 yards.

The Tigers (1-1) responded with a touchdown just before the end of the first half and another to tie the game with 2:26 left in the third quarter.

Georgetown looked to take its first lead of the game after the Blue Raiders committed their second turnover of the day, giving the Tigers the ball on the Lindsey Wilson 32-yard line with 1:24 left in the third quarter.

The Blue Raider defense -- who surrendered just 338 total yards over 82 plays -- stopped the Tigers on fourth-and-seven from the Lindsey Wilson 39-yard line to give the ball back to their offense and ultimately shift the momentum. Georgetown ended the game averaging 4.1 yards per play while Lindsey Wilson averaged eight yards over its 61 plays.

Lindsey Wilson needed just four minutes and 16 seconds over its next three drives to score three touchdowns and take a 49-28 lead midway through the final quarter.

Following the defensive stand, the Blue Raiders marched eight plays and 64 yards, ending with a four-yard Beasley keeper to break the 28-28 tie. After a Georgetown three-and-out, Beasley and Stallard hooked up for a 49-yard touchdown catch and run for a 42-28 LWC lead.

Kendrick Handley intercepted Georgetown's Ozzie Mann three plays into the next drive and returned the ball 30 yards to the Tiger 10-yard line. Beasley found Mikey Davis for his first touchdown of the season on the next play to push the Blue Raider lead to 49-28 with 7:32 left in the game.

Georgetown cut the deficit to 49-35 on a touchdown with 5:19 remaining as Mann connected with Brandon Gray for the score. Mann finished the game 31-for-50 with 251 yards and touchdowns in the setback.

With the win, Lindsey Wilson runs its winning streak over Mid-South Conference East Division foes to 11 consecutive games.

The Blue Raiders opened the game's scoring on their first drive covering five plays and 75 yards. Beasley started his record-day with a 12-yard touchdown completion to Allen Cooks. Cooks caught a team-high five passes for 61 yards and the score.

Georgetown's Joe Ganci scored on the Tigers first possession from the five-yard line to tie the game at 7-7. The Tigers converted all four of their third-down tries in the drive, including the Ganci score. The Lindsey Wilson defense limited Georgetown to 5-for-15 on third down the remainder of the game.

Beasley found Cedric Washington for a 33-yard touchdown during the next Lindsey Wilson drive. The touchdown marks the third of the season for Washington in as many games.

The first of three Lindsey Wilson turnovers on the day gave Georgetown a short field after the Blue Raider defense forced the first punt of the day. The Tigers took advantage of the Blue Raider miscue two plays later on a Mann to Bart Bell touchdown toss to knot the game at 14-14. Bell hauled in eight passes for 90 yards -- both team highs.

The Blue Raiders bounced back with their third score in four drives as Beasley found a streaking Hunter Lovell on the right sideline for 63 yards and a 21-14 lead. Beasley and Stallard made it 28-14 on the 99-yard drive -- the fifth possession of the day for the Blue Raiders.

While Handley recorded the lone takeaway of the day, the Blue Raider defense finished with a pair of sacks, six tackles for a loss and seven pass breakups in the game. D' Andre Hart led the Blue Raiders with 10 tackles while Chris Oldham recorded six tackles, including two for a loss and a sack.

Georgetown's Dustin Haraway and Cade O'Bryan led the Tiger defense with 11 and 10 tackles respectively.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Saturday, September 17, as the Blue Raiders travel to Bluefield (Va.) for a MSC crossover battle with the Rams. Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. CT at Mitchell Stadium in Bluefield, West Virginia.
