VALDOSTA, Ga. -- No. 19 Lindsey Wilson women's golf posted a 313 today to finish tied for third at the Thomas (Ga.) Invitational held at the Kinderlou Forest Golf Club.
The Blue Raiders -- who began the day in fifth -- inched up the final leaderboard thanks to a trio of rounds in the 70s today.
Tara Rodenhurst and Shayna Cockrill each carded 4-over par 76s today while Megan Kriz posted a 78. Courtney Vincent and Dacie Bolton each shot 83s in today's final round.
Lindsey Wilson finished the two-day event with a team total of 632 (319-313) to tie with Campbellsville (Ky.) -- who posted a pair of 316s. Fourth-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.) won the 10-team event with a 597 (294-303) followed by No. 2 Dalton State's (Ga.) 599 (298-301).
No. 18 Southeastern (Fla.) ended in fifth with a 637 (319-318) and Cumberland (Tenn.) -- who is receiving votes in the poll -- finished sixth with a 640 (315-325).
Rodenhurst bounced back from Monday's 80 -- her only round in the 80s this season -- with today's 76. She climbed eight spots up the leaderboard to finish tied for 10th with a 156. It is her fourth top-10 in as many events this season.
Kriz climbed three places to a tie for 15th with a two-day total 158 (80-78). Today's 6-over par 78 is the best round of the season for Kriz.
Vincent finished one shot behind Kriz with a 159 (76-83) -- good enough for a tie for 18th. Another stroke back was Cockrill's 160 (84-76). Cockrill made the biggest jump of the tournament, climbing 16 spots for a tie for 21st. Her 76 today marks the fourth time this season she has posted that number.
Bolton shot her second consecutive 83 today to post 166 to tie for 30th.
Cumberlands' Kaitlyn Riley earned medalist honors with a 4-under par 140 (68-72). Cumberlands' Lucia Pena was second with a 145 (70-75) followed by a trio of Dalton State players.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Oct. 23-24 in its fall finale as the Blue Raiders travel to the Nob North Roadrunner Invite in Cohutta, Ga.
