COHUTTA, Ga. -- Lindsey Wilson slipped two spots in today's final round to finish eighth at the Dalton State (Ga.) Roadrunner Invitational.
The No. 19-ranked Blue Raiders shot a two-day total 660 (321-339) in their final tournament of the fall. Host and No. 2 Dalton State won the stacked event with a 602 (302-300). Nine ranked teams participated in the 36-hole event.
No. 1 SCAD-Savannah (Ga.) finished second with a 607 (305-302) and No. 18 Southeastern (Fla.) ended in third with a team-total 633 (318-315). No. 4 Cumberlands (Ky.) -- who opened the day tied with the Blue Raiders at sixth -- finished seventh with a 651 (321-330).
Shayna Cockrill posted the best score over the two days for the Blue Raiders. She carded an 83 today, following a 79 on Monday, to end the tournament with a 162 and a tie for 26th. Courtney Vincent ended the event with a two-round total 166 (79-87) and a tie for 33rd.
Tara Rodenhurst and Dacie Bolton each tied for 40th in the 77-woman field.
Rodenhurst carded an 87 today after yesterday's 81 to post 168. She recorded the lone birdie in during the round for Lindsey Wilson on Tuesday. Bolton -- who had the Blue Raiders' low round of the day -- shot 82 today after an 86 on Monday to also finish with a tournament-total 168.
Megan Kriz finished tied for 47th with a 171 (82-89) over the 5,880-yard Nob North Golf Course.
Dalton State's Tia Teiniketo and Caroline Griffin each posted 143s to share medalist honors.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action in early spring. The Blue Raiders spring schedule will be released later this fall.
Lindsey Wilson completes the fall season with a win and four top-three finishes in its five tournaments. The Blue Raiders four-woman squad averaged a 315.3 per round during the fall.
