WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson men's swimming posted two wins and four national qualifying cuts on Saturday in a 165-80 dual loss at Cumberlands (Ky.).
Jose Prado de Lima led the Blue Raiders with two wins, an individual national cut, and a team national standard. Clemens Paetzold added two individual cuts and a team cut during the event.
Prado de Lima won the 50 freestyle and the 100 free while recording a B standard in the 100. His first win -- the 50 free -- came in 22.72 seconds, seven one-hundredths of a second over second place. He touched the wall in front of his competition in the 100 free with a time of 49.52 seconds.
Paetzold posted a second in the 200 backstroke with a time of two minutes and 3.58 seconds. Prior to the 200, he ended in third in the 100 backstroke. He finished in 55.48 seconds. Paetzold earned B cuts for both times.
Paetzold, Prado de Lima, Jonas Mueller and Zachary Patzer earned a national A cut in the 200 medley relay. The quartet posted a second-place time of 1:41.90 in the race.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Friday, Oct. 13, as the Blue Raiders face Mars Hill (N.C) and King (Tenn.) in a meet in Mars Hill, North Carolina.
