Styles leads Women's Basketball to 67-64 win at Reinhardt

WALESKA, Ga. -- Kayla Styles recorded a double-double to lead Lindsey Wilson women's basketball to a 67-64 win over host Reinhardt (Ga.) at the Brown Athletic Center.

Styles poured in a career-high 36 points and grabbed a season-high 18 rebounds to help the Blue Raiders (10-1) win their second game in as many days. Reagan Turner chipped in 13 points in the win.

Lindsey Wilson outscored the Eagles (9-3) 11-6 over the final 3:30 to win its fifth-straight game -- matching a season high.

Heidi Huffman started the run with a 3-pointer to give Lindsey Wilson a 59-58 lead. Huffman finished with nine points.

After Reinhardt reclaimed the lead with a pair of free throws, Styles connected on a jumper in the lane to push the Lindsey Wilson lead to 61-60.

Reinhardt tied the game at 61-61 with another free throw -- the ninth and final tie during the night. The game also featured 15 lead changes, including 13 in the fourth quarter.

Styles put the Blue Raiders up for good with two free throws with 24 seconds left and Turner and Styles combined for four more free throws in the final 16 seconds to secure the 67-64 win.

Lindsey Wilson shot 39.7 percent (23-of-58) from the floor, but was much better than that from deep. The Blue Raiders hit 8-of-17 3-pointers to shoot just over 47 percent for the game. Lindsey Wilson also did its job at the free throw line -- connecting on 13-of-15 freebies.

Defensively, Lindsey Wilson held the Eagles to 31.5 percent (23-of-73) shooting, including four of 24 from beyond the 3-point arc.

Lindsey Wilson's 48-37 rebounding advantage aided the Blue Raiders in overcoming 27 turnovers in the game.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 5:30 p.m. CT as the Blue Raiders travel to Brescia (Ky.) in Owensboro, Ky.
