Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Lindsey Wilson men's tennis capped a perfect Southeastern Challenge today with a 6-3 win over host SCAD-Savannah at the Bacon Park Tennis Courts.
The No. 4-ranked Blue Raiders (4-2) won five of the six singles matches to remain unbeaten this season against NAIA competition.
SCAD-Savannah took a 2-1 lead following doubles play -- winning the second and third seeded matches.
Denis Porcic and Tomas Depiaggio claimed the only doubles point for the Blue Raiders with an 8-6 win over Sean Hajdu and Kosta Sevic.
Javier Raya started the comeback with a win in the sixth-seeded singles match to tie the overall match at 2-2. Raya dropped just two games in a 6-2, 6-0 win over Mateo Fernandez.
Filip Persson put the Blue Raiders up for good with a win in the third-seeded match. He matched Raya's performance -- dropping just two games -- in a 6-1, 6-1 win over Josh Tewes-McCoy. Depiaggio claimed his second win of the day in his third-seeded match with Yulin Liu. Depiaggio won 6-3, 6-0 to push the Blue Raiders to a 4-2 lead.
Porcic provided the fifth and decisive point in the top-seeded match with a 6-4, 6-0 win over Hajdu.
Ivan Solans added the final win of the weekend for the Blue Raiders with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Daiki Naka in the second-seeded match.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 10 a.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 25, as the Blue Raiders travel to Austin Peay State (Tenn.) in Clarksville, Tennessee.
