KINGSPORT, Tenn. -- Lindsey Wilson women's swimming won three individual events and a relay during tonight's final session to finish second at the Mid-South Conference Swimming Championship at the Kingsport Aquatic Center.
The Blue Raiders finish the three-day event with 397 team points -- second only to Cumberlands' (Ky.) 490 points.
Emily Wood opened the final session with a win in the mile. She ended the marathon swim in 18 minutes and 18.26 seconds for the five-second win en route to posting an A-cut time.
Jessica Macdonald and Ines Khiyara added wins to give the Blue Raiders six individual wins during the championship.
Macdonald won the 100-yard freestyle with an A-cut time of 52.46 seconds. Khiyara captured the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:23.66 -- also an automatic time into the NAIA National Championships.
The Blue Raiders closed the championship with a team win in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Khiyara, Macdonald, Ronni Borders and Bailey Seitz combined to post a time of 3:35.41 to give Lindsey Wilson its fourth relay title of the championship. The Blue Raiders also claimed relay wins in the 200 and 400 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action March 1-4 at the NAIA National Championships in Columbus, Georgia.
