GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson women's golf posted a runner-up finish today at the 2017 Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament being held at Cherry Blossom Golf Club.
The 25th-ranked Blue Raiders carded their second-straight 313 during the two-day tournament to end with a team-total 626. No. 11 Cumberlands (Ky.) won the event with a 606 (298-308).
Midway (Ky.) finished third with a 639 (315-324) followed by Cumberland (Tenn.) with a 642 (322-320) and Campbellsville (Ky.) with a 645 (329-316).
Tara Rodenhurst -- who entered today's final round in second -- maintain her place on the leaderboard following a 76 over the 6,004-yard, par-72 Cherry Blossom layout.
The 4-over par round -- the fourth best of the day -- is impressive considering the multiple delays today due to rain and lightning. Rodenhurst posted a two-round total 150 (74-76) to finish 10 strokes behind medalist Kaitlyn Riley from Cumberlands.
Shayna Cockrill also fired a 76 today to earn a tie for fifth in the 45-woman field. She concluded the tournament with a 154 (78-76).
Courtney Vincent missed a top-10 finish by one stroke, carding a 159 (77-82). She tied for 13th. Morgan Markwell shaved five strokes off Monday's round with a 79 today. Markwell ended the tournament with a 163 (84-79) to finish tied for 16th.
Dacie Bolton completes the Blue Raider top-five with a tie for 27th after posting a 169 (86-83). Megan Kriz -- playing as an individual -- finished 31st at 172 (87-85).
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Sept. 25-26 as the Blue Raiders travel to the William Carey Collegiate Invite at Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
