Wilmore Ky.- The Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team notched a road victory against Asbury (Ky.) on Friday evening.

The women's swimming team (1-1) defeated Asbury 113-90. LWC recorded a total of seven first place finishes against the Eagles.

Carlene Taylor led the women by winning both of her individual events in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.84 and the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.28. Jessica Macdonald continues to light up the score board with another first and second place finish in the 200 freestyle with a time 1:57.59 and 100 butterfly with a time of 1:01.70.

The men and women's swimming teams combined for a total of 144 points on Friday night.

The Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team will be back in action against Life (Ga.) on October 27, in Marietta, Ga.
