Women's golf finishes in fourth place at Badger Invitational

MOBILE, Ala. – The No. 19-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's golf team finished in fourth place following today's conclusion of the Badger Invitational hosted by Spring Hill (Ala.) at Crossings Golf Club.

The Blue Raiders shot a team-total 971 three round total over the 6,157-yard, par 72 course. No. 8 William Carey (Miss.) won the invite after posting the lowest team score in the nine-team field after scoring a 939 over three rounds. Shorter (Ga.) finished in second with a 944 followed by Loyola-New Orleans (La.) in third with 954 strokes as Union (Ky.) and Mobile (Ala.) finished in fifth and sixth with 981 and 982, respectively.

Tara Rodenhurst recorded the low Lindsey Wilson score over the three round invite. She posted a 234, which earned her eighth place. She posted a six-over par first round, ten-over second round and a two-over third round.

Dacie Bolton finished tied for 17th with a 244 as Courtney Vincent finished just behind in 19th place after posting a 245 for the invite. Shayna Cockrill finished in a tie for 22nd and teammate Megan Kriz finished in a tie for 32nd.

Lexi Worrell who competed as an individual for South Alabama earned medalist honors after a three round score of 219 at the invitational.

The Blue Raiders are back in action on March 12 when they travel to the Buccaneer Spring Classic at Germantown Country Club in Germantown, Tennessee.
