Box Score

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. -- No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis cruised to an 8-1 win over host Georgetown (Ky.) today at the Top Seed Tennis Club.

The match -- that has already been postponed once this season -- was moved indoors due to today's weather.

Lindsey Wilson (7-0, 2-0 in the Mid-South Conference) won all three doubles matches and five of the six singles matches to remain unbeaten on the season. Georgetown's lone point came during a retirement in singles play.

Edberg Espinoza and Steven Espinoza claimed the first point of the match with an 8-2 win over A.J. Berk and Phillip Hoeper in the third-seeded match. Ivan Solans Diaz and Javier Raya improved to 5-0 on the season in the second-seeded match with an identical 8-2 win over Cole McCreary and Hunter Nosek.

Denis Porcic and Camilo Erazo made it a clean sweep in the top-seeded doubles match with an 8-6 win over Ryo Takeda and Tristan Nosek. The Blue Raider tandem improves to team-best 6-0 in doubles play this season.

Isaac Mathis claimed the lone point of the match for the Tigers (5-7, 1-1) after Raya retired following the first game.

Porcic -- ranked No. 3 in the NAIA -- pushed the Lindsey Wilson lead to 4-1 with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Takeda in the No. 1-seeded singles match. The win is his 55th career singles victory, moving into fifth on the program's all-time wins list.

Erazo picked up the team's fifth point to claim the team win. He defeated Tristan Nosek 6-2, 6-1 in the second-seeded match.

No. 15 Diaz and No. 23 Edberg Espinoza each won their matches by scores of 6-1, 6-0. Steven Espinoza won the final match of the day 7-5, 6-3 over McCreary to cap the 8-1 win.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2 p.m. CT on Tuesday, April 3, as the Blue Raiders host No. 11-ranked Campbellsville (Ky.) at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
