Three individuals record podium finishes at US Intercollegiate Indoor Archery regional championships

MADISONVILLE, Ky. -- Three Lindsey Wilson archers earned podium finishes today at the United States Intercollegiate Indoor Archery South Region Championships.

Drew Canos earned a runner-up finish in the men's recurve while Olivia Harner and Cameron Curran each finished third. Harner posted her finish in the women's recurve while Curran competed in the men's basic bow.

The indoor championships use a 40-centimeter target from 18 meters.

Canos recorded 1,034 points in his shoot finishing just behind Pikeville's AJ Clements' 1,108. Canos hit 28 10s and 44 nines out his 120 arrows in the event.

Harner tallied 877 points in the women's recurve. She hit the number 10 15 times and the number nine 22 times. Cumberlands' (Ky.) Miranda Lauria won the event with 971 points.

Curran recorded 13 10s and 20 nines during his shoot to record 843 points in the men's basic bow. Hocking's (Ohio) Cole Luburgh took home the title with 1,027 points.

In the team competition, Lindsey Wilson recorded a second place and a pair of thirds.

Harner and Canos combined to finish second in the mixed recurve team. The duo scored a combined 1,911 points. Lindsey Wilson's Nikki Bollman, Madison Hart, and Ashlyn Scriven teamed to finish third in the women's compound team event with 3,376 points. Curran and Alexandria Weaver finished third in the mixed basic bow with 1,592 points.

Lindsey Wilson continues its weekend shooting at the Mid-South Conference Indoor Archery Championships on Sunday in Madisonville.
