COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's swimming team sweeps Campbellsville (Ky.) on Saturday afternoon at Holloway Center Natatorium.
The Blue Raiders (8-1) defeated Campbellsville by a score of 184- 36, sweeping all 13 events from the Tigers. The women's swimming team combined for 13 first place finishes, four A-cut standards and one B-cut standard.
Jessica Macdonald led the women's side with three individual first place finishes, two A-cuts and one B-Cut standard. Macdonald took first in the 200 freestyle with an A-cut in the time of 2:01.79. Macdonald achieved another A-cut standard in the 100 freestyle in 55.18. She added a first place and a B-cut standard in the 50 freestyle in 25.72.
Emily Wood, Sarah Hahn and Sloane Smith were the other Blue Raiders to take multiple individual first place finishes. Wood captured first place finishes in the 1000 freestyle in 11:33.60 and in the 500 freestyle in 5:38.80. Hahn notched her two first place finishes in 200 backstroke in 2:23.42 and in 200 individual medley in 2:2836.
Smith notched a first place finish and B-cut standard in the 200 breaststroke in 2:36.44 as she added another first place finish in 100 buterfly in 1:05.43.
Both women's relays received A-cut standards in their events. The relay of Hahn, Sarah Lawson, Caitlin Freeny, and Harlee Smock finished in first place in 200 medley in 2:08.50. The relay of Smock, Bailey Seitz, Carlene Taylor and Macdonald finished in first in 200 free relay in 1:45.70.
The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's swim team combined to beat Campbellsville 321-115.
The Blue Raider women's swimming team is back in action at the Mid-South Conference Championship on January 31st through February 2nd in Kingsport, Tenn.
