COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team defeats Campbellsville (Ky.) on Saturday afternoon at Holloway Center Natatorium.
The men's swimming team (7-2) defeated Campbellsville 137-79, notching 11 first place finishes, two A-cuts and three B-cut standards.
Michael Peck led the men's side with three individual first place finishes. Peck achieved first in the 200 freestyle in 1:54.43, 200 backstroke in 2:11.70 and 200 individual medley in 2:08.21.
Pedro Terra, Clemens Paetzold and Aleksander Olejnik each chipped in with two individual first place finishes. Terra captured the 1000 freestyle in 10:25.25 and the 500 freestyle with a B-cut standard in 4:58.54. Paetzold gained his two first place finishes and two B-cut standards in 100 backstroke in 56.05 and in 100 freestyle in 49.78. Olejnik notched his two first place finishes in 200 breastroke in 2:22.27 and in 100 breaststroke with a B-cut in 1:01.49.
Both men's relays received A-cut standards in their events. The relay of Paetzold, Bryce Rice, Terra and Olejnik captured an A-cut and first place finish in 200 medley in 1:41.35. The relay of Jordan Schaffer, Tyler Glish, Peck and Rice achieved an A-cut and a second place finish in 200 free in 1:35.55.
The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's swim team combined to beat Campbellsville 321-115.
The Blue Raider men's swimming team is back in action at the Mid-South Conference Championship on January 31st through February 2nd in Kingsport, Tenn.
