COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson women's swimming posted seven first-place finishes en route to a 112-89 win over visiting Asbury (Ky.) tonight at Holloway Natatorium.
Jessica Macdonald was part of two individual wins and a relay win to lead the Blue Raiders. Narjiss Bourbouh, Annissa Koekemoer, Emma Phillips, and Carlene Taylor also picked up individual wins during the meet.
Macdonald won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.23 seconds to win by just over a second over Taylor -- who finished with a 55.36. Both times were good enough to post a national A championship standard.
Macdonald added a second individual win in the 200 free with a time of 1:59.44, to win by over four seconds.
Macdonald teamed with Bourbouh, Koekemoer, and Taylor to win the 200 freestyle relay with a national standard time. The quartet posted a time of 1:42.29 to win by nearly 16 seconds.
Taylor captured the 50 free title with a sprint of 25.67 seconds while Phillips won the 1,000 free in 11:56.44.
Bourbouh posted individual national qualifying time in the 100 butterfly. She finished in 1:00.82 to win by more than two seconds. Koekemoer also posted a two-second win during the dual. She touched the wall at 1:03.15 in the 100 backstroke to pick up the win.
The final Lindsey Wilson national qualifying A standard came from the 200 medley relay. The foursome of Natalie Lohman, Sarah Hahn, Hannah Russo, and Jaye Farthing posted a time of 2:04.85 to finish second while earning the national standard.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 26, as the Blue Raiders host Life (Ga.) at Holloway Natatorium.
