COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's swim team fell to Asbury (Ky.) 106-96 in their dual tonight at the Holloway Center Natatorium. The Blue Raiders notched six first-place finishes and three national A standard to go along with a host of B cuts.
William Thilwind, Bryce Rice, Reece Kincaid and Ron Wolfart recorded the first A cut standard of the night during the 200-yard medley relay with a time of one minute and 39.05 seconds. Ricky Dungan, Jordan Schaeffer, Tyler King and James de Goede picked up an A cut, first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay after teaming up for a time of 1:30.31.
Thilwind later tallied an individual A cut standard time of 54.30 as he provided the fastest time in the 100-yard backstroke. Kincaid managed a first-place finish of his own in the 500-yard freestyle with his B cut time of 4:59.55.
Rice produced a first-place finish during the 100-yard breaststroke with a B cut time of 1:01.52.
Dugan touched the wall during the 200-yard Freestyle with a B standard time of 1:50.12. Kincaid finished in second place of the 200-yard IM as he finished with a national B standard time of 2:01.50.
De Goede would just miss out on a national B standard time during the 50-yard freestyle as he swam his way to a first-place time of 22.67. De Goede notched his second first-place finish of the night with another B cut time of 49.11 in the 100-yard freestyle.
The Blue Raiders return to the pool on Oct. 26 when they host Life (Ga.) at the Holloway Center Natatorium at Noon CT.
