HANOVER, Ind. – The No. 6 Blue Raider women's swimming team defeated Hanover (Ind.) in dominating fashion after winning 11 of 14 events and marking five national A-cut standard times.
The grouping of Natalie Lohman, Sarah Hahn, Nissrine Bourbouh, and Jaye Farthing began the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with an A standard time of two minutes and 0.66 seconds.
Jessica Macdonald notched three individual victories and two A-cuts. Macdonald finished the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle in A cut fashion with times of 2:02.81 and 55.3, respectively. She also won the 100-yard individual medley with a time of 1:01.97.
Narjiss Bourbouh swam the other individual A standard time in the 100-yard butterfly, touching the wall in 1:01.53, and securing first place. Narjiss Bourbouh also finished first in the 200-yard individual medley and the 50-yard butterfly with the times of 2:21.43 and 27.96.
The Lindsey Wilson squad of Carlene Taylor, Narjiss Bourbouh, Annissa Koekemoer, and Macdonald won the 200-yard freestyle relay with an A standard time of 1:45.09.
Jaye Farthing won the 50-yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 36.1. Taylor placed first in the 50-yard freestyle with the time 26.06. Koekemoer captured first place in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in 1:05.02. Emma Phillips finished first in the 500-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 5:54.75.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Nov. 22-23 when they compete at the Brenau Invitational in Gainsville, Georgia.
