Women's Basketball rolls in 84-53 win over Washington Adventist

COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team rolled in their 84-53 win over Washington Adventist on Saturday evening at Biggers Sports Center.

The Blue Raiders never trailed in the game as they boasted an even 40 shooting percentage while forcing Washington Adventist into 31 turnovers and recording 24 steals. The defensive efforts led to 38 points for the Blue Raiders off the Shock's miscues. Lindsey Wilson held a slight 38-35 rebound advantage.

All five Lindsey Wilson starters finished in double figures as Reagan Turner paced the efforts with 19 points and four steals. Jynea Harris had 15 points, four steals and six boards as J'Nayah Hall had 14 points, three steals, six rebounds and six assists. DeAsia Outlaw finished with 13 points and game-high six steals. Maleigha Oldham had 13 points and five boards.

Lindsey Wilson got off to a quick start in the contest as they built their lead to as many as nine points in the first quarter at 19-10 before leading 21-13 after ten minutes. In the second quarter, the Shock played Lindsey Wilson even, as both teams would score 17 points.

The Blue Raiders produced their best quarter of play during the third frame as they managed to outscore the Shock 28-13. Lindsey Wilson did most of their damage at the charity stripe, making 12-of-15 of their attempts. LWC made 8-of-18 shots from the floor over the ten-minute span.

Leading 67-43 entering the fourth, Lindsey Wilson would tack on 17 more points to win 84-53. LWC took their largest lead of the game at 31 points with 3:12 to play in the quarter.

The Blue Raiders return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 20, when they welcome nationally ranked No. 13 Talladega to the confines of Biggers Sports Center at 6 p.m. CT.
