Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 15-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team defeated Miami-Hamilton (Ohio) 97-49 on Friday evening at Biggers Sports Center. Five Blue Raiders finished the game with double-digit points as 13 LWC players scored in the contest.
Reagan Turner scored a game-high 17 points and six rebounds as DeAsia Outlaw finished with 16 points, five boards, five steals and three blocks. J'Nayah Hall tallied 12 points as Rose Mary Jackson and Molly Stone finished with 10 points.
The Blue Raiders shot a season-high 61.8 percent from the floor as they connected on 42-of-68 attempts. The LWC defense caused Miami-Hamilton problem all night as they shot just 29.3 percent while committing 23 turnovers. The Blue Raiders recorded 16 steals on the night.
The Blue Raiders would jump out to an early 12-0 lead in the game before pushing their lead to as many as 25 points by the end of the quarter at 30-5. Lindsey was efficient, making 14-of-19 attempts. Lindsey Wilson would further their advantage in the second quarter as they poured in 25 more points, making 11-of-16 attempts including 3-of-5 from deep.
Miami-Hamilton outscored LWC 19-18 in the third stanza before putting up 24 more points over the final ten minutes to pick up their eighth win of the season with a 97-49 victory.
Lindsey Wilson is back in action on Dec. 3 when they take on Simmons (Ky.) at Biggers Sports Center. Tipoff is slated for 4 p.m. CT.
