Box Score MOBILE, Ala. -- A trio of Blue Raiders scored in double digits to help No. 14-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's basketball to a 65-58 win over host Mobile (Ala.) today at H. Austill Pharr Gymnasium.
Reagan Turner scored a game-high 25 points while Jynea Harris tallied 16 points and DeAsia Outlaw chipped in 12 to help the Blue Raiders improve to 11-3 on the season. Outlaw pulled down 10 rebounds to record her second double-double of the season.
Lindsey Wilson overcame an early first-quarter deficit with a 19-3 run and never trailed again. The Blue Raiders ultimately built a 14-point advantage before settling for the seven-point win.
Turner connected on 8-of-14 shots in the game, including hitting 3-of-5 from beyond the 3-point arc to help the Blue Raiders shoot 41 percent (25-of-61) from the field. The Lindsey Wilson defense also shined, forcing Mobile (8-2) into 18 turnovers -- which the Blue Raiders turned into 17 points.
Haeli Howard aided in the defensive pressure -- posting a team-high four steals in the game. Howard added six points and seven assists to her four steals during the game.
Mobile -- who had its eight-game winning streak snapped -- shot 41.2 percent from the field. The Rams entered today's game shooting 47.2 percent from the field this season -- third-best in the NAIA.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Jan. 4, as the Blue Raiders travel to Life (Ga.) for a Mid-South Conference tilt in Marietta, Georgia.
