COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team overcame eight lead changes and 13 ties in their Mid-South Conference game at Biggers Sports Center on Thursday night. The game never saw a lead larger than six points as the Blue Raiders (16-6, 6-2 MSC) would win by a final score of 59-56.

J'Nayah Hall scored 19 points, 10 rebounds and four steals in her third double-double this season. Reagan Turner scored a game-high 20 points as she added four assists and two steals while Heidi Huffman added ten points. Gerda Paulauskaite tallied a game-high 12 rebounds as Molly Stone added 10 of her own.

Three minutes into the final quarter the Blue Raiders maintained a one-point advantage as they led 50-49 but the Tigers (18-5, 3-5 MSC) would regain the lead moments later by after scoring three points.

Tied at 52 with 2:22 to play, Hall connected on 1-of-2 free throws giving LWC the lead once again. After empty possessions by both teams, Georgetown's Hailey Ison drove to the basket with 24.3 seconds on the clock. Her shot was blocked away by Paulauskaite and as Turner grabbed the rebound she was fouled before making both attempts at the charity stripe.

Leading 55-52, Huffman made two free-throws with nine seconds to play but Georgetown countered on the other end with a three to trim the LWC lead to one with two seconds left in regulation. Jynea Harris was then fouled, making both of her attempts with one second to play as the Blue Raiders would win 59-56.

Lindsey Wilson and Georgetown traded baskets in what was an evenly matched first quarter. The Blue Raiders would claim to the largest lead when they led 10-7 with five minutes to play but the Tigers challenged, taking the lead at 11-10 minutes later. LWC would hold a 16-14 advantage after ten minutes as Hall paced the Lindsey Wilson effort with half the team's points.

Georgetown would overtake the Blue Raiders in the second quarter when they opened play with an 8-2 run lasting to the five-minute mark. Lindsey Wilson battled their way back with a 9-0 scoring spurt that lasted until the 2:39 mark before taking a slight 27-26 lead into halftime.

Turner and Hall combined for 21 of the Lindsey Wilson points in the half as Hall added three steals on the defensive end of the floor. LWC shot 37.5 percent from the floor while the Tigers went 37 percent from the floor.

With 2:48 gone in the third quarter Georgetown tied the game a 31 – the ninth time the score had been tied – before taking a four-point advantage. Lindsey Wilson would tie thing once again at 38 when Hall, Turner and Huffman all found a way to score on the next Blue Raider possession.

The Tigers would push their lead back to four points in the half but another three by Huffman and a layup by Hall during the final minute gave LWC a 43-42 advantage with ten minutes to play.

Ison scored a team-high 19 points for Georgetown as Malaka Frank chipped in with 16 of her own.

The Blue Raiders next welcome Campbellsville (Ky.) to Biggers Sports Center on Saturday at 4 p.m. CT in the Battle of Highway 55.
