Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team cruised to victory over Fisk (Tenn.) at Biggers Sports Center on Monday evening as they won by a final score of 85-51.
Four different Blue Raiders finished the game in double-figures as Reagan Turner scored a game-high 19 points. Maleigha Oldham chipped in with a career-high 15 points as Sonkar Barkha and Heidi Huffman each added 12.
Lindsey Wilson led from wire-to-wire and used 57.6 percent shooting from the field in the first half during their commanding victory.
The Blue Raiders were locked in to open the game as J'Nayah Hall scored the first six points of the contest and reining MSC Player of the Week Huffman stayed red hot from deep, knocking down her first of four three-pointers for the game.
After trading baskets to the five-minute mark to a 15-7 Blue Raider advantage, LWC would finish the quarter on a 12-4 run. Turner scored six points during the span increasing the lead to 27-11 after ten minutes.
Fisk kept pace with the Blue Raiders to open the second quarter as LWC held a slight 10-9 point advantage to the 4:47 mark. Leading 37-20 Lindsey Wilson used a 13-6 scoring spurt over the final minutes of the half to lead 50-26.
The Blue Raiders continued to impose their will in the third quarter as they managed to build their lead to 70-38. LWC would outscore the Bulldogs 15-13 during the final frame to win 85-51.
Lindsey Wilson shot 47.8 percent from the field while limiting the Bulldogs to a just 29 percent from the field for the game. LWC dominated the glass, outrebounding Fisk 58-27.
Jayla Long was the only Fisk player in double-figures as she tallied 10 points.
The Blue Raiders return to Mid-South Conference action on Thursday when they travel to Williamsburg, Kentucky to take on Cumberlands (Ky.) at 5 p.m. CT.
