Women's golf finishes second at Skyhawk Invitational; Vincent takes third

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team turned in a second place finish at the Skyhawk Invitational. The Blue Raiders finishing the two-round tournament held at Callaway Gardens – a par 72, 5,803-yard course -- with a total score of 613.

The total was just one stroke off the pace set by tournament champions Southeastern (Fla.) who was able to score a 612 over two rounds. Faulkner (Ala.) finished in third place after turning in a 620 for the tournament.

Courtney Vincent led the charge for the Blue Raiders. Carrying the lead after the first round with a tournament-low 69-stroke round, Vincent would post a 79 on day two to finish in third place at four-over par.

Dacie Bolton also finished inside the top-5. After firing a 77 on the first day of competition, Bolton would produce a 73 during the second round to finish in a three-way tie for fifth.

Bo Young Park would just miss out on a top-10 finish. After starting the day seven-over, Park managed to record a three-over par 75 to finish in a three-way tie for 11th.

Tara Rodenhurst was the only other Blue Raider to compete at the tournament as she posted a two-round total of 161 (80-81) to finish in a tie for 31st place.

The Blue Raiders are back in action on Thursday and Friday when they compete at the Spring Break Invitational at Grand National Lake Course in Opelika, Alabama.
