Women's Golf misses cut at NAIA National Championship; Bolton makes cut as individual

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team failed to make the cut on Wednesday following the second round of play at the NAIA National Championship Tournament being played at Lincoln Park Golf Club­­­. Dacie Bolton did extend her season as she positioned herself inside the top-40 to qualify for the third and fourth round as an individual.

The Blue Raiders shot a 305 in the second round to bring their two-day total to 632 (327-305) at the par-72, 6,050-yard course. Lindsey Wilson finished in a tie for 22nd place in the 30-team competition as only the top 17 teams continue play in the third round. The Blue Raiders were five strokes back of the cut line.

Bolton shot a 2-over par 74 in her second round. After starting on the back nine, she carded a 2-over on her first nine holes to go along with an even-par mark on the front, finishing the day with two birdies and 12 pars. Bolton finished the day in a tie for 31st place out of 155 competitors with a two-day total 151 (77-74).

Bo Young Park shaved three strokes off her first round total as she carded a 76 during the second round. She finished the tournament with a 155 (79-76) to finish in 53rd place. She posted one birdie and two bogies through her first nine holes as she played her final nine at three-over-par.

Courtney Vincent managed the Blue Raiders second-best round of the day as she finished her round at 3-over par with a 75. She finished one stroke behind teammate Park for the championship with a 156 (81-75) in 60th. Vincent posted one eagle on the par-five fifth as the rest were pars to go along with five bogeys.

Tara Rodenhurst finished the tournament in a tie for 139 after posting a two day total 170 (90-80)

British Columbia leads the team standings they hold a four three-shot lead over second place Keiser (Fla.), carding a 590 (294-296) two-round total. Keiser's Michela Tjan and William Woods' (Mo.) are tied for the individual lead at 1-under par.
