RESULTS
COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women' golf team finished in first place at the Blue Raider Classic being played at The Pines. LWC carded a two day total 619 (317-302) at the par-72, 5,864-yard course.
The Blue Raiders would win by 18-strokes as Asbury (Ky.) finished in second place of the six-team field with a two-day score of 637 (316-321). Union (Ky.) claimed third with a 651 (324-327).
Lindsey Wilson Freshman Claire McLaughlin fired a 1-under par final round to take second place overall. She finished just one stroke off the lead as she turned in a 149 (78-71) to finish just behind Union's (Ky.) Whitney Messer who finished with a 148 (72-76). McLaughlin recorded four birdies on her round.
Zofia Wojcik finished in seventh place after shaving seven strokes off her first round, firing a 3-over par second round to shoot 157 (82-75). Tara Rodenhurst carded a 159 (83-76) across the two days of competition to finish in ninth place.
Dacie Bolton finished in a tie for 10th place with a 161 (74-87) as Megan Mann would finish just behind in a tie for 12th at 163 (83-80).
Upon completion of the event, McLaughlin was also named to the all-tournament team.
Next up for the Blue Raiders is a trip to Hattiesburg, Mississippi as they compete at the Carey Collegiate on Sept. 23-24 at Canebrake Country Club.
