Box Score CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The No. 12-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team lost to Thomas More (Ky.) 74-56 on Thursday evening in Mid-South Conference action at the Connor Convocation Center.
J'Nayah Hall led all Blue Raiders (16-4, 5-2 MSC) with 15 points as Reagan Turner added 13 of her own. DeAsia Outlaw was the only other LWC player in double figures with 12 points while adding a game-high seven rebounds.
Thomas More (15-5, 4-3 MSC) shot lights out all night as they managed to shoot well over their season averages in field goal percentage (44.5) and three-point shooting (37.8). The Saints shot 56.6 percent from the field and 61.5 percent from deep. Lindsey Wilson managed just a 34.9 mark from the floor and made just 4-of-11 shots from three.
The first half was all Thomas More as the Saints shot 65.5 percent from the floor while connecting on 6-of-8 three-point attempts. Lindsey Wilson was limited to a 35.5 shooting percentage after making 11-of-31 shots in the half.
The Saints would lead by as many as 10 points three times in the first stanza before leading 25-15 at the end of 10 minutes. Thomas More kept their foot on the gas in the second quarter, outscoring LWC 24-14 in the quarter. Over the first five minutes of play, TMU pushed their lead to 25 points. Lindsey Wilson managed to trim their deficit to 20 points -- 49-29 -- at the break.
Lindsey Wilson battled out of the break to trim their deficit to 14 points with 4:46 to play at 43-57. It was as close as LWC would get on their comeback bid. Thomas More would bare down over the final five minutes of the quarter to take a 61-45 lead with 10 minutes to play. LWC closed the quarter making just 1-of-10 field goal attempts.
Thomas More pushed their lead to as many as 22 points in the final quarter before ultimately taking the game 74-56.
Lindsey Wilson stays on the road for their next contest as they take on Georgetown (Ky.) at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday.
