Archery competes at 3-D Regionals

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson archery team kicked off their 2020-21 campaign in style as they racked up an impressive eight top-3 finishes at the 3-D regionals in Barbourville, Kentucky. In total, 13 Blue Raiders finished inside the top-5 at the event.

The Blue Raiders posted the top score in three events on the day as Hunter Current, Britney McCarthy and Gabe Crenshaw each picked up individual victories during their disciplines. Lindsey Wilson added three 2nd-place finishes, two 3rd, three 4th and two 5th-place results.

Current took first place in the men's barebow with a score of 300 while Cameron Curran claimed second place with 256 total points. McCarthy took first place in the women's barebow racking up a total of 296 points.

Crenshaw picked up his first-place finish in the men's recurve with a total of 381 points. T Sanchez finished just behind in second place with a 366 as Hunter Reading took fourth with 142 points.

Savannah Gould finished as the runner-up in the women's recurve with 353 points while Casie Metcalf finished in fourth place with 334 total points. Olivia Harner took fifth place with 322 total points.

Taylor Bell claimed fourth place during the men's bowhunter event with 403 points as Anna Krampe took third on the women's side with 392 points and a one arrow shoot-off.

Natalie Brockman placed third in the women's compound with 410 points to take a podium finish as Dalton Richardson finished in fifth place with 430 points on the men's side.

With their results, all 13 of these Blue Raiders qualify for tomorrow's MSC 3-D individual shootdown.

Lindsey Wilson archery is back in action tomorrow for the Mid-South Conference 3-D Championship in Williamsburg, Kentucky. There will be live video for the event.
