WILMORE, Ky. – The No. 6-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team lost 144-114 to No. 5-ranked Asbury (Ky.) on Friday evening in their first competition of the season.
Tyler King took three first-place finishes on the day. His first came during the 200-yard freestyle relay with a provisional time of one minute and 47:58 seconds. He then added a first in the 50-yard freestyle at 22.16 seconds and in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:01.99.
Will Thilwind picked up two first-place finishes doing so in the 100 and 200-yard backstroke. His time of 53.81 was good enough for a provisional in the 100 as he touched the wall at 1:58.90 in the 200.
Reece Kincaid picked up the sixth first-place finish of the evening with his time of 49.22 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle. Chase Hickman picked up a second-place finish and a provisional time of 52.60 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly.
The quartet of Hickman, Thilwind, Kincaid and King then teamed up for the 400-yard freestyle relay for a first-place finish with a time of 3:16.57.
The Blue Raiders return to the pool on Saturday, Nov. 7, when they welcome Campbellsville (Ky.) to the Holloway Center Natatorium for the Battle of Highway 55.
