Women's golf finishes third at Skyhawk Invitational

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team took third place at the Skyhawk Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at the Callaway Gardens Golf Club.

The Blue Raiders fired a 631 (323-308) across the two days of competition at the par-72, 5,803-yard design. Lindsey Wilson finished day one in fourth place and were able to improve their position one place upon the conclusion of the tournament.

Tara Rodenhurst finished in a tie for 16th after a two day total of 157 (76-81). Zofia Wojcik made the biggest jump on the second day of competition, climbing the leaderboard 12 spots to finish just behind Rodenhurst in a tie for 19th. The freshman shaved ten strokes off her second-round total to card a 158 (84-74).

Megan Mann and Claire McLaughlin finished tied for 22nd place after both shot 160 two-round totals. Mann produced an 83-77 as McLaughlin scored an 80 on both rounds.

Dacie Bolton rounded out the Lindsey Wilson team scoring as she finished in 33rd with a 163 (86-77).

Katie Biddlecombe proved to be the Blue Raiders most efficient golfer despite competing as an individual at the tournament with a 155 (77-78). She finished in 11th place.

Southeastern (Fla.) won the tournament with a 595 (300-295) as Indiana Wesleyan took second with a 606 (315-291).

Lindsey Wilson is back in action on March 12-13 at Robert Trent Jones Grand National Golf Club in Opelika, Alabama.
