COLUMBIA, Ky. -- No. 11-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis blanked Martin Methodist (Tenn.) today 7-0 in their home opener at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.

The Blue Raiders (3-0, 1-0 MSC) swept doubles play to grab the 1-0 lead after claiming the doubles point. Tiago Almeida and Xavier Vicent won 6-0 as Camilo Erazo and Nicolas Garcia as well as Steven Espinoza and Santiago Diaz teamed up in the other doubles matches to take their contests 6-2.

The Blue Raiders rolled in their singles matches as well sweeping all six points.

Erazo defeated Richand Hoyte 6-0, 6-0 to give Lindsey Wilson its first singles win and a 2-0 lead. Almeida followed with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Clement Martin for the 3-0 lead.

Garcia claimed the decisive point in the No. 3 singles with a 1-6, 6-1, 10-4 win over Eduardo Costa for the 4-0 lead. Vicent, Espinoza, and Diaz also picked up wins to close out the match.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Tuesday, March 3, when they welcome Grace College to the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
