Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- No. 11-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's tennis swept visiting Grace (Ind.) today at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
The Blue Raiders won all seven points to improve to 4-0 on the season. Grace -- who is receiving votes in the national poll -- slips to 14-5 with the loss.
After winning the doubles point, the Blue Raiders won all six singles matches in straight sets.
Camilo Erazo started the streak with an upset win over Max Rozas -- who is ranked No. 8 in NAIA. Erazo -- ranked 31st in the NAIA -- dropped just one game in the 6-0, 6-1 win to give Lindsey Wilson the 2-0 lead.
Santiago Diaz followed with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Milan Savic in the sixth-seeded match for a 3-0 lead. Steven Espinoza picked up the decisive point in the fourth-seeded match with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Ramiro Candia.
Tiago Almeida, Nicolas Garcia, and Xavier Vicent each won to cap the 7-0 win.
Erazo and Garcia opened the match with a 6-3 win over Popovic and Savic in the top doubles match. The Blue Raiders claimed the doubles point in the third-seeded match as Almeida and Vicent defeated Candia and Jacob Gray 6-1.
With the doubles point in hand, Rozas and Galvan notched the only win of the day for the Lancers with a 7-4 tiebreaker win over Diaz and Espinoza in the second-seeded match.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2:30 p.m. CT on Friday, March 13, as the Blue Raiders host No. 9-ranked William Woods (Mo.) at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
