KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Lindsey Wilson women's swim team finished in 12th place after managing 66 points throughout the four-day NAIA National Championship.
Jessica Macdonald finished in sixth place of the 100-yard freestyle prelims after clocking a time of 52.09 to qualify for the finals. Macdonald improved her position one spot in the final to finish in fifth place with a time of 51.79 seconds. The result is the 26th NAIA All-American honor in her career as she is now the most decorated athlete in LWC swimming program history.
Sarah Hahn competed in the 200-yard backstroke prelims finishing in 19th place with a time of 1:12.90. Narjis Bourbouh finished in 26th place in the 200-yard butterfly prelims after a time of 2:17.06.
The pairing of Macdonald, Nissrine Bourbouh, Narjiss Bourbouh and Jaye Farthing finished in 13th of the 400-yard freestyle relay prelims with a time of 3:43.51 before taking 14th in the finals with a time of 3:34.38.
Emma Phillips competed in the 1650-yard freestyle to finish in 16th place with a time of 18:42.53.
SCAD Savannah took home the team title with 767.5 total points.
