MIDWAY, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's swim team defeated Midway (Ky.) 152-23 on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Raiders claimed first place in all 11 races to pick up the win.
Will Thilwind picked up an NAIA Provision Standard on the afternoon, doing so in the 100-yard backstroke taking first with a time of fifty-three seconds.
Fabio Martin clocked two first-place finishes winning the 1000 freestyle and 500 freestyle with times of 10:07.06 and 4:55.66, respectfully. Tyler King was the second Blue Raider to win two events touching the wall first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.14 and 100 butterfly with a time of 55.39. In addition to that, James de Goede took first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:52.14.
In other results, Reece Kincaid took first in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:05.79, Chase Hickman won the 100 freestyle swimming a 49.41 and Tyler Buffel won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:04.34.
In the relays, Thilwind, Bryce Rice, Siaka Weidenbaum, and King took first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:38.61 and Martin, Malte Ahrens, KJ Summers, and Josh Seltz took the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:24.97.
Men's Swimming continues their season with a trip to Barbourville, Ky. on November 6th to take on Union (Ky.) and Campbellsville (Ky.). The event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. CT.
